Privacy policy

1. OBJECTIVE AND RESPONSIBLE ENTITY

This privacy policy informs about the type, scope, and purpose of the processing (including collection, processing, and use, as well as obtaining consent) of personal data within our online offering and the associated websites, functions, and content (hereinafter collectively referred to as “online offering” or “website”). The privacy policy applies regardless of the domains, systems, platforms, and devices (e.g., desktop or mobile) used to access the online offering.

The provider of the online offering and the entity responsible under data protection law is Barbara Feldmann, Weihburggasse 16/7, 1010 Vienna (hereinafter referred to as “provider,” “we,” or “us”). For contact details, please refer to our legal notice (Impressum).

The term “user” includes all customers and visitors of our online offering. The terminology used, such as “user,” is intended to be gender-neutral.

2. GENERAL INFORMATION ON DATA PROCESSING

We process users’ personal data only in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations, in accordance with the principles of data minimization and data avoidance. This means that users’ data is processed only when there is a legal basis, particularly when the data is necessary for the provision of our contractual services and online services, is required by law, or if consent has been given.

We take organizational, contractual, and technical security measures in accordance with the state of the art to ensure compliance with data protection laws and to protect the data we process against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, or unauthorized access.

If, within the scope of this privacy policy, content, tools, or other means from other providers (hereinafter collectively referred to as “third-party providers”) are used and their stated headquarters are abroad, it is to be assumed that data will be transferred to the countries of the third-party providers’ headquarters. The transfer of data to third countries takes place either on the basis of a legal authorization, users’ consent, or specific contractual clauses that ensure the legally required security of the data.

3. PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

In addition to the uses expressly mentioned in this privacy policy, personal data is processed for the following purposes based on legal authorizations or users’ consent: – Providing, executing, maintaining, optimizing, and securing our services, service, and user benefits; – Ensuring effective customer service and technical support.

We only transmit users’ data to third parties if it is necessary for billing purposes (e.g., to a payment service provider) or for other purposes that are necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations to users (e.g., providing address information to suppliers).

When contacting us (via contact form or email), the user’s information is stored for the purpose of processing the request and in case follow-up questions arise.
Personal data is deleted once it has fulfilled its purpose, provided that no retention obligations prevent its deletion.

4. COLLECTION OF ACCESS DATA

We collect data on every access to the server on which this service is located (so-called server log files). The access data includes the name of the accessed webpage, file, date and time of access, transferred data volume, notification of successful retrieval, browser type and version, the user’s operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address, and the requesting provider.

We use the log data, without associating it with the user’s identity or creating any other profiles, in accordance with legal regulations solely for statistical analysis for the purpose of operating, securing, and optimizing our online offering. However, we reserve the right to subsequently review the log data if there is a legitimate suspicion of unlawful use based on specific indications.

5. COOKIES AUDIENCE MEASUREMENT

Cookies are information transmitted by our web server or third-party web servers to the users’ web browsers, where they are stored for later retrieval. Users are informed about the use of cookies for pseudonymous audience measurement within this privacy policy.

Viewing this online offering is also possible without cookies. If users do not want cookies to be stored on their computer, they are asked to disable the corresponding option in their browser’s system settings. Stored cookies can be deleted in the browser’s system settings. Disabling cookies may lead to functional limitations of this online offering.

It is possible to manage many online advertising cookies from companies via the U.S. site http://www.aboutads.info/choices or the EU site http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/.

6. GOOGLE ANALYTICS

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about users’ use of the online offering is typically transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the United States.

Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate users’ use of our online offering, compile reports on activities within this online offering, and provide us with other services related to the use of this online offering and internet usage. Pseudonymous user profiles may be created from the processed data.

We use Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled. This means that the users’ IP address is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the United States and shortened there.

The IP address transmitted by the user’s browser will not be merged with other data by Google. Users can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting the settings of their browser software; furthermore, users can prevent Google’s collection of data generated by the cookie related to their use of the online offering, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

For more information on Google’s use of data for advertising purposes, as well as settings and opt-out options, please visit Google’s websites: https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/partners (“How Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps”), http://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads (“Data usage for advertising purposes”), http://www.google.de/settings/ads (“Manage information used by Google to show you ads”), and http://www.google.com/ads/preferences (“Control the ads Google shows you”).

7. INTEGRATION OF THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND CONTENT

It may happen that within our online offering, content or services from third-party providers, such as city maps or fonts from other websites, are integrated. The integration of third-party content always requires that the third-party providers perceive the users’ IP address, as they cannot send the content to the users’ browser without the IP address. The IP address is therefore necessary for displaying these contents. Furthermore, the providers of third-party content may set their own cookies and process users’ data for their own purposes. This may result in the creation of user profiles based on the processed data. We will use these contents in a manner that minimizes data as much as possible and will select reliable third-party providers with regard to data security.

The following overview provides a list of third-party providers and their content, along with links to their privacy policies, which include further information on data processing and, where applicable, opt-out options:

– External fonts from Google, Inc., https://www.google.com/fonts (“Google Fonts”). The integration of Google Fonts is done by a server request to Google (usually in the USA). Privacy Policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/, Opt-Out: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/.

– Maps from the “Google Maps” service provided by the third-party Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Privacy Policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/, Opt-Out: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/.

8. USERS’ RIGHTS AND DATA DELETION

Users have the right to request and receive, free of charge, information about the personal data we have stored about them.
Additionally, users have the right to correct incorrect data, revoke consent, block, and delete their personal data, as well as the right to file a complaint with the competent supervisory authority if they believe their data is being processed unlawfully.

The data stored by us will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for its intended purpose and no legal retention obligations prevent its deletion.

13. CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to change the privacy policy to adapt it to changed legal circumstances or in the event of changes to the service or data processing. This applies only to statements regarding data processing. If user consent is required or if parts of the privacy policy include provisions of the contractual relationship with users, changes will only be made with the users’ consent.
Users are encouraged to regularly review the contents of the privacy policy.
